I am officially a crappy blogger...This entry was posted on 5/26/2007 11:06 AM and is filed under South Korea. I know...I know. My Korean bloging record is lackluster....but there hasn't been all that much to write about.
I've picked up a new student, a business man who keeps incredible hours. I've been teaching him several times a week at his office....which is unfortunately about an hour from my apartment. It's been a little hectic. I leave work at 7, run to his office, teach from 7:30-8:30 or 9:00 and get home at 10:00pm. I leave for my regular job at 8:30am....so it's a long day. I've also taught him on the weekend and on my day off this week (for Buddha's Birthday). He's been keeping me busy. I've also been preparing for Open House (when the parents watch my kindergarten class). My direcotr observed my class and wasn't quite happy with what we did. I've been told to add more stuff, but now only have a week left! It's a little stressful, as I've been preparing the kids for a month and a half and am now told to add significantly more material. I'm hoping I get it done. I've been focusing more on quality than quantity. I focus a lot on their pronunciation because I'd rather they say some things clearly than mumble a whole lot of stuff. At this point they can mumble the last few sentences...either that or we're skipping gym, music, science and arts and crafts this week. All this and the fact that Zakaria is still having trouble with his visa is keeping me up at night. I've been pretty exhausted. I decided to spend the weekend recouping: sleeping, cooking, watching movies, catching up on my blogging and laundry, etc. I feel a lot better now than I did on Friday where severe exhaustion hit me during my afternoon classes and I didn't think I'd be able to finish the day. I was asleep, on Friday, at about 10:30...which you know is super early for me...especially on a Friday. Okay...enough of all that. I've got more entries to write. Stayed tuned for more... |
