Little Tommy (nickname: Tommy Tommy because he always writes his name twice, practicing) had his birthday last week. 
Birthday parties are quite the extravaganza here in South Korea.  The kids have cakes, fried chicken, fruit, cookies, drinks, etc.  And then there's the sugar high to contend with...
Tommy's mom got ice cream cake, cookies, fruits and Capri Suns for everyone. It was an insane amount of food for little kids...especially since the party was right after lunch.

Also, birthday parties mean picture time. My Korean helper must have taken 100 photos.  I took a few...waiting for her to pose them and then quickly snapping a shot.

After all that sugar and excitment I had no choice but to take the kids outside for last class. I let them run around and play and work out some of that sugar.  I;m guessing the parents were pretty happy that day because I figure all the kids went home and passed out.
