This is how I spend my days...

So I've finally got pictures happening and I HAVE TO post school pics. This is how I spend my days afterall.
First up, my kindergarten classroom. I spend the first 5 classes of the day here, so it is essentially my room.

The room, looking the other direction. Notice the sentence on the board...the first sentence the kids have really been able to learn. I won't let them go to the bathroom without saying...and boy do they pee a lot. (They're 5...what do you expect?) I now hate this sentence!
Also note my fine artisit skills! I made the robot (if you can call it that) for my first arts and crafts. At least it looks better than the kids' version.

Here's a shot of the playground...not bad, huh?

The stairs...the whole building is filled with cute. It's like the construction paper flowers are actually growing out of control.

Now onto the kids.
This is a group shot I took, shortly after we finished making robot hands out of chopsticks, rubberbands and cardboard. What's actually happening here: The kids are attacking me with robot hands! They soon realized that the stuck very well in my hair. I had four of these little claws sticking out of my ponytail at one point.
(From L-R: Chaehun, Sophia, David (peeking out), Charles, Nadia, Tommy and Wendy)

Now for some individual shots.
First up: Charles
I swear...this picture captures his personality to a T! In your face...but still cute.

David
I'm telling you...this kid knows the power of his smile. He thinks he can get away with anything if he just smiles at you. He might be right...

Sophia
She's so tiny and cute. I had to take it without flash because she didn't like the flash...too much for the little moppit (her new nickname.)

Chaehun and Tommy
Don't get the impression Cahehun is sad...he's hamming it up for the camera. He just broke his robot arm...but was giggling 1 minute later. (I helped him fix it.)
Tommy...he's just cute as cute can be.

That's all for now. I had pictures of each of the kids but invariably another student would stick their robot claw in the picture ruining it.
One last school shot: a typical lunch. This one has kimchee, fruit, soup and rice (with yummy, though visually unappealing, black bean sauce.) But, I draw your attention to the top-center compartment: squid and vegetables. Now, I actually kind of like squid...but not this kind. It was so super chewy I only got through one bite (which took no less than two minutes to choke down.) It didn't taste bad but it was like eating rubber. Ick.

Can you imagine a five year old being served this in America?!? No way!!!
