My roommate and I switched apartments this week. Were now in a much nicer place, but living with a teacher from school…whos never had students live with her before. Its a bit like living with parents…and she corrects my Spanish all the time…which is good…but not in the middle of my sentences. She was correcting me this morning at 8am and I had to ask her to stop…just too early for spanish lessons…I wouldnt remember anyway.
The new place does have wireless internet, which is a huge plus. Ill be updating the blog later today with photos! Yay!

I finally visited Parc Guell, which I now live near. Its a gorgeos park that Gaudi designed: carriage house, pathways, landscaping even. Its very much like a fairy tale world of crooked paths and gnarley trees, set amoungst gingerbread houses. Very cool.
I had a picnic there with a friend, Malte, who is visiting me from Germany. We climbed to the top of the park to enjoy our picnic with a view of the entire city, quite spectacular as youre able to see the sea in the distance.

The weather here is finally warmer, and sunny. I got some sun yesterday and Im no longer radioactive white…now I just qualify as pale as a ghost. Still, its a start.
Im contemplating staying in Barcelona and taking an extra week of classes. Im learning, but I could certainly use the practice. Its frustrating that Im always tired in class (roommate issues), so itd be nice to have my own room and get some sleep and possibly jump start the learning process. I have to decide this week…but Im not sure yet…its a bit pricey.
Otherwise, nothing too much to report. Oh yeah, I got pickpocketed this weekend. Its my own fault for carrying 30 euro in my front pocket. The guy must have watched me break a bill and put the change there, because it happened 2 minutes after I did this. I know exactly who it was too…he bumped in to me, apologized and ran off. My street smartsserved only to make me aware 30 seconds after it happened…but he was already gone. Oh well. I learned my lesson and will be more careful.
Must run…off to lunch with the girls from school. Will upload pictures tonight…
